I found lots of interesting doors in Lucca, Italy, in different colors, shapes, heights and widths.

I was in Lucca, Italy, for six days and walked the twisting, turning streets (and often felt lost, although I was following Goodle maps). I enjoyed the sights along the streets and fell in love with the City.
A visit with friends in Holland, MI, led to a side trip to Saugatuck, MI, a town I had never visited. It is a quaint tourist town on the banks of the Kalamazoo River. Shops and restaurants line the streets, with gardens and parks tucked in along the way.
I often notice doors when I travel, the color or size or ornamentation. Here are some I noticed while traveling around France on my Overseas Adventure Travel (O.A.T.) tour.
In Lyon, sometimes the door caught my eye, but more often it was the decorative work above the door that entranced me.
Red doors on churches often catch my eye. The one on the left is in Paris and the one on the right is in Bayeux.
Purple is my favorite color, so the doors to this church in Sarlat won my heart.
I visited Chipping Campden at the northern edge of the Cotswolds a few years ago. I loved Hidcote Garden–and I loved the gardens and flower baskets I passed walking down the streets, the thatched roofs and the distinctive doors.
A blogger I follow does a Thursday Door post, and I decided to post some of my door pictures. In looking through photos for some of my door pictures, I came across these pics from a trip to Krakow, Poland. The city offers beauty at every turn. (When I find my door pictures, I will post them).
